The Damage is a scorekeeper. It never holds, transfers, escrows, processes or facilitates money, and it is not a gambling operator, bookmaker or payment service. Every figure it shows is a note about what friends have informally agreed among themselves. All settlement happens privately, off the app.

Legality is on you

Laws about private wagering vary by country, state and locality. You alone are responsible for determining whether your game is lawful where you play it and for complying with those laws. Nothing here is legal advice.

No warranty on calculations

Course handicaps, stroke allocations, skins, carries and totals are computed from the data you enter and the rules you select. Data entry errors, incorrect course ratings, wrong stroke indexes or software bugs can all produce a wrong number. We make no warranty, express or implied, that any calculation is accurate. Check the math yourself before anyone pays anyone.

Disputes

We are not a party to your game and take no part in resolving disagreements about scores, rules or amounts.
