1. Data we hold about you
If you create a scorekeeper account we store your email address, your authentication record, and the rounds, courses and games you create.
2. Data you enter about other people
This is important: players in a round are not users of this app. When you add a player you type in their name and handicap index, and the app then stores their hole-by-hole scores and the resulting tallies. Those people have no account, did not agree to these terms, and cannot log in to see or change their data.
You are responsible for having a reasonable basis to enter that information — in practice, telling your playing partners that you are keeping the group's score in this app. Use a nickname or initials if anyone prefers. If a player asks you to remove their information, delete or abandon the round, or contact us and we will remove it.
3. Share links
Each round can generate a long random share link. Anyone with that link can see the round read-only: course, player names, handicap indexes, hole-by-hole scores and the running tally. The link is not indexed and is not guessable, but it is not password-protected. It stays valid after the round ends, remains tied to the scorekeeper's account, and can be revoked by the scorekeeper at any time — after which it stops working immediately.
4. How we use data
To operate the app: authenticate you, store your rounds, compute tallies, and serve share links. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
5. Processors
Data is stored with our hosting and database provider on our behalf. Course records you add are shared with other users of the app so they can reuse them.
6. Retention and deletion
Rounds are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Deleting your account removes your rounds, the players recorded in them, and revokes their share links.
7. Your choices
You can revoke share links, delete rounds, and request deletion of your account and all associated data.
8. Children
The app is not intended for anyone under 18.
